Distractions
Satan’s distractions lead to our isolation. Help me Lord, to avoid isolation by seeing the devil’s distractions for what they truly are-his attempts to take my focus off You and to keep me in bondage.
Prayer
A life without prayer is a life burdened with care. Thank you God for the gift of prayer and the lifting of needless care. For hearing me when i pray regardless of the time night or day. There is power in prayer because through it we connect with You-the source of all power!
True Righteousness
The folly of self-righteousness denies the truth of God’s righteousness. “For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.” Romans 10:3 Please forgive me for flauting my dirty rags of righteousness as if they somehow made me more pleasing in Your sight. Isaiah 64:6
Freedom in Christ
With Christ there is freedom in dependence. Lord, i bring You the burden of sin that weighs me down and trust that You will set me free! (John 8:36)
Character Check
Be a woman of character and not a character of a woman. Father, i want to posess inner beauty that comes from a gentle and quiet spirit. (1 Peter 3&4)

Pearls From God
Sometimes when God speaks it is brief but it is always worth hearing. Written on the pages of my journals and slips of paper tucked away in my Bible are many things God has spoken to me in the form of proverbs and prayers. I call them pearls because they are small beautiful treasures from God. They usually consist of only one sentence but provide many hours of thought and revelation. Treasures such as these are meant to be shared so that is what i will be doing through Pearls in Alabaster. It is my hope that those who read these proverbs and prayers will be inspired as i have been inspired and please share your insights. I want to hear what you have to say!
